Technical review by AsiaQuartz Product, QC & Supply Chain Team
Updated: September 2026
When buyers ask us about wholesale quartz countertops, they usually want the same reassurances. Here they are. Distributors and retailers planning volume quartz countertop purchases usually hit the same wall: the supplier’s
catalog is a wall of options, and nobody tells you which program actually fits wholesale supply. This guide is the
framework we wish more first-time buyers had before they requested a quote — what wholesale means here, how to
specify for steady restocking, and how packing and QC get planned.

What Wholesale Quartz Countertops Means Here
Wholesale usually means buying prefabricated or slab-format material in volume for resale or project supply. AsiaQuartz
supports this through Classic Quartz Slabs, Quartz Prefabs, and selected programs. The available product, color, finish,
and dimensions are reviewed per product and order — we do not run a one-size catalog, because a distributor in one
market and a fabricator shop in another rarely need the same thing.
Programs and Formats Worth Considering
- Quartz prefabs: selected countertop, vanity, island, backsplash, and project components with fabrication completed before shipment — the fastest route to a repeatable SKU.
- Classic quartz slabs: established white, grey, Carrara-style, and neutral designs for distributor inventory and repeat supply.
- Printed quartz: controlled marble-look visuals for design-led and project programs.
Prefab Countertop Planning References
Planning references for prefabricated components may include kitchen components at 96 in or 108 in length by about 26 in
depth; islands or peninsulas at 96 in or 108 in length by 36 in, 42 in, or 52 in widths; and backsplashes in selected
4 in or 6 in formats. These are planning references, not universal availability — final dimensions are product-,
drawing-, and order-specific. The mistake we see most: a buyer quotes a 108 in island against a slab that yields it only
with a seam, then discovers the seam after the container arrives.
Thickness and the Visible Edge
Standard underlying material thicknesses are 20 mm and 30 mm. A laminated, mitered, or built-up edge changes the visible
edge thickness but does not change the underlying material thickness. Anything else needs a customization review —
and we will tell you up front when a thickness is special rather than let it surface as a surprise at QC.
Repeat-Order and Color Planning
For wholesale restocking, plan around approved references, retained samples, full-slab visuals, batch records, and
permitted visual-variation rules. AsiaQuartz supports batch and repeat-order planning, but we will not promise that every
future batch matches the first one shade-for-shade — that expectation belongs in the order specification, confirmed
per product, not in a sales conversation.
Colour control across restocks is the harder half of a wholesale program — our wholesale countertop program planning guide covers how to structure it.
Packing and Container Loading
For US-bound full-slab shipments of the regular super-jumbo size, the packing reference is 7 bundles per 20 ft container:
70 slabs at 30 mm or 105 slabs at 20 mm. Prefab and mixed orders are reviewed for compatibility, packing, and loading per
order. The number that matters for your landed cost is the one calculated against your actual slab weight and crate design,
not the catalog average.
Order-Specific QC for Wholesale Lots
QC scope is confirmed per order and may include approved-sample comparison, full-slab visual review, dimensions and
thickness, finish, edge processing, labels, and loading records. The method, sample size, and acceptance criteria are
agreed for the selected product and order. AsiaQuartz does not present a universal “100% inspected” claim;
inspection is order-specific, and a real QC plan names the sample size.
Building the RFQ That Returns a Comparable Quote
A wholesale RFQ works best when it removes ambiguity before the supplier has to guess. State the product reference and color code, the quantity and target dimensions, the finish and edge profile, the destination port, and the visual-variation rules you will accept. The more of that is fixed up front, the more comparable the quotes become — and the fewer surprises survive to the container stage.
The omissions we see most: no retained sample referenced, no variation window stated, and dimensions quoted against a slab rather than against the cut layout. A buyer who sends “white quartz, 100 slabs” gets a number that cannot be planned against. A buyer who sends the SKU, the approved sample ID, the acceptable shade range, and the prefab drawing gets a quote that matches the business.
Close the RFQ with the documents you expect back: the order-specific QC scope, the packing and crate specification, and the batch records for traceability. Stating those expectations in the request is what turns a wholesale relationship from a series of one-off transactions into a program that repeats without re-explaining itself every time.
FAQ
MOQ is product- and order-specific. AsiaQuartz reviews quantity, product, thickness, finish, and packing for the selected program rather than publishing a fixed minimum that would not fit half the buyers who ask.
Repeat-order color planning uses approved references, retained samples, and batch records with permitted
visual-variation rules. Confirm the matching approach for your product and order — and build your customer communication around the agreed variation, not around a perfect match nobody can guarantee.
Planning references include 96 in or 108 in kitchen lengths and selected island and backsplash formats. Final dimensions are confirmed by drawing and order.
US-bound full-slab lots use the 7-bundle, 70 (30 mm) or 105 (20 mm) slab reference per 20 ft container; prefab and mixed loads are reviewed per order.
